In a world full of odd things on every corner, it becomes easy to melt into a judgement-free mindset. 
Making friends? Getting past judgement is half the battle.

although this sounds amazing and all, discrimination is how we set people apart. Too much is a bad thing, yes, but..
Too little, and you've got nothing to talk about. 
Because we need to find people with similarities to like them. 

For example; even in their world, they found someone like themselves. The two characters have visible similarities. They both wear something close to dresses, they both have petals or something alike on their round heads. It's clear they both like fall, too.
Personality-wise, I'm sure they're very much alike.

All in all, it's good to set aside your judgement. But it's not some horrible sin to pick and choose who you want to be your friend.
